How the zombie pet version plays

The pet version took over Spanish- and Russian-speaking TikTok first. The story is the same as the couple version, with your pet in the zombie role.

  1. The cabin. You aim the gun in tears as your pet, turned, comes closer across the room.
  2. The face. A close-up of your zombie pet: ashen fur, clouded eyes, bared teeth.
  3. The leap. You drop the gun and open your arms. Your pet runs and jumps.
  4. The memory. Mid-air, the film cuts to a golden wheat field and the jump lands in your arms.

Photo tips for pets

  • Your pet facing the camera with both eyes visible and the whole head in frame.
  • Sharp and well lit. Wait for a still moment so fur and markings aren’t blurred.
  • One pet per photo, on a plain background if you can.
  • For the survivor, a clear front-facing photo of yourself.
  • JPG, PNG or WebP up to 4 MB, straight from your camera roll.

FAQ

Zombie pet video FAQ

Can I do the AI zombie trend with my dog or cat?

Yes. Add a photo of yourself as the survivor and a photo of your dog or cat as the one who turns. Your pet becomes a zombie in the cabin and is its healthy self again in the wheat field.

Will my pet still look like my pet?

The AI keeps your pet’s face, fur color and markings from your photo. Clear, well-lit photos give the most recognizable result, and results vary a little from run to run.

Is the zombie pet scary or gory?

Your pet gets ashen fur, clouded eyes and a snarl, with no blood or wounds. The point of the trend is the hug at the end.

Does it work with other animals?

Dogs and cats work best. Rabbits and other pets can work with a clear photo, but results vary more.

How long does a pet video take?

Usually a few minutes for a 15-second video with sound. You can leave the page while it renders; the finished video waits in your studio.
